On April 11, 2014, we had a presentation and a final demo at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen. Below you can find some pictures of the presentation and a video with a teaser and a demonstration of our project.
In this months of hard work, and in order to create new and exciting natural user interactions inside a car, we have put together technologies such as: Oculus Rift, kinect, leap motion and speech recognition. We are developing and continually improving a Demo that runs on the Unity game engine and among its current features, it is able to interact with the windows, mirrors, radio and lights of a virtual car.
If your browser does not support html5 or if you would like to see an HD version, you can see the video in youtube.
It accepts voice commands and touch free interactions. You can see below some pictures and screenshots of this first phase. We perfected the chosen interactions, added new ones, including a steering wheel, and we worked hard on building a fully working demo. Below you can see some pictures of the early state of the project.
